WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR AAdvantage® 40,000 MILES OFFER?
For Citibank's Retail Checking 40,000 AAdvantage® miles Offer (“40,000 AAdvantage® miles Offer”), “Eligible Customers” are (1) New-to-Citibank Customers, (2) who enroll in the AAdvantage® 40,000 miles Offer, (3) are at least eighteen (18) years of age, (4) have a valid W-9 or W-8BEN on file with Citibank and are not subject to back-up withholding, and (5) have an AAdvantage® account held in their name. “New-to-Citibank Customers” cannot be current owners of a Citibank consumer checking account or have been an owner on a Citibank® consumer checking account within the last 180 calendar days before enrollment.
WHAT IS BEING OFFERED IN CITIBANK’S 40,000 AADVANTAGE® MILES OFFER?
If you are an Eligible Customer, enroll in this offer, and fulfill Required Activities (see Required Activities below), you can earn 40,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles. AAdvantage® bonus miles will be credited by Citibank to your AAdvantage® account within ninety (90) calendar days from the date you complete all required activities. At the time the AAdvantage® bonus miles are to be credited to your AAdvantage® account, you must have an open AAdvantage® account and the new Eligible Checking Account must be open and in good standing.
Unless expressly prohibited, Eligible Customers can participate in other Citibank American Airlines AAdvantage® promotions which award miles; however, no Eligible Customer can be awarded more than 60,000 AAdvantage® miles total (multiple awards allowed) within any 365 day period.
HOW DO I FULFILL THE 40,000 AADVANTAGE® MILES OFFER’S REQUIRED ACTIVITIES?
First, eligible Customers must have or open an AAdvantage® customer account that is held in his or her name (“AAdvantage® Account”). If you do not have an open AAdvantage® customer account, you may open one by visiting www.aa.com, selecting “AAdvantage® program” and clicking “Log in / Join”.
Second, Eligible Customers must enroll in the 40,000 AAdvantage® miles Offer. Please follow required enrollment instructions provided on the communications sent to you by Citi.
Third, Eligible Customers must open a new consumer regular or interest checking account in The Citibank® Account Package between the “Offer Period” of 6/1/2019 - 7/31/2019 ("Eligible Checking Account"). Fiduciary, estate, business and/or trust accounts are not eligible for this Checking Account Offer even if they otherwise meet the definition of Eligible Checking Account. However, trust accounts that are a Living Trust and custodial accounts are eligible. If Eligible Customers open their Eligible Checking Account by any means other than those described in the enrollment instructions or in this Terms and Conditions provided by Citi they will not be enrolled in this Offer and will not be eligible for the Citibank's 40,000 AAdvantage miles Offer. All accounts are subject to approval.
Fourth, within thirty (30) calendar days of opening the Eligible Checking Account, Eligible Customers must Deposit $15,000 in New-to-Bank Funds in the Eligible Checking Account and maintain the funds for sixty (60) calendar days.
“New-to-Citibank Funds” are funds not currently held by Citibank or its affiliates and must be deposited via ACH, Direct Deposit, cash, and/or via checks or wires from non-Citi institutions. Eligible customers may continue to participate in this offer if they chose to upgrade their Eligible Deposit Accounts to the Citigold Account Package or Citi Priority Account Package. Enrollment and participation in this promotion does not guarantee eligibility.

CAN I ENROLL AND FULFILL MULTIPLE SAVINGS AND CHECKING OFFERS DURING THE OFFER PERIOD?
Yes, with the following limitations. The 40,000 AAdvantage® miles Offer is a checking account offer. Customers are limited to one checking account offer during the Offer Period. If you enroll in multiple checking account offers during the Offer Period and fulfill multiple checking account offers in the same month, you will be awarded the offer with the highest bonus value. If you enroll in multiple checking account offers during the Offer Period and fulfill multiple checking account offers across different months, you will be awarded the bonus of the first checking offer to qualify. Customers may be enrolled in a Citibank checking promotion and savings promotion during the same offer period unless expressly prohibited; however, each promotion must be funded separately.
A monthly service fee of $25 and a $2.50 non-Citibank ATM fee apply to checking account in The Citibank® Account Package if combined average monthly balance of $10,000 or more is not maintained. Important Tax Information:
The fair market value of bonus miles awarded will be reported to the IRS as interest to the first signer on the account, in the year received, as required by applicable law. Bonus miles received by U.S. persons will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT for the year received. Bonus miles received by non-U.S. persons will be reported on IRS Form 1042-S for the year received. Customer is responsible for any applicable taxes and consulting a tax advisor. Citi is not a tax advisor. To be eligible for bonus miles, U.S. Persons must furnish Citibank with a valid IRS Form W-9 (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification). Foreign Individuals must furnish a valid IRS Form W-8BEN (Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding and Reporting (Individuals)), and the account holder must not be subject to backup withholding.
